DOMAINE LOEW PINOT GRIS BRUDERBACH "LE MENHIR" 2012
Grown in one of my favorites vineyards in Westhoffen, Le Menhir develops a flinty character while the Pinot Gris brings a delicate ethereal tropical nose to the wine. Biodynamically farmed, this wine develops great concentration and showcases exceptional mineral notes. The pedigree of the vineyards shows once you taste the richly textured wine and experience the beautiful balance of fruit, minerality, and acidity.
Biodynamic and Organic
Bruderbach Vineyards is located on a south-facing hillside of Westhoffen in the Bas-Rhine
Soil Composition: Marl which is a Calcareous clay-based soil that adds acidity to the wine. Vines planted in this type of soil normally ripen later than in other soil types. Marl soil is typically deep and lacking in stone fragments. Le Menhir has a higher iron content which is well suited for Pinot Gris
