This years wines are Organically farmed and made with a hands off approach that yields a super aromatic Friulano and absolutely killer Cab Franc. Both wines com the the village of Cormons in Italy's North East.
What I love about the Friulano,
After aging for 3 years the wine is drinking incredibly well. It's rich texture is complemented by pear, jazmin, tarragon and hints of mint. The freshness and minerality come from the Poncacia soils pH which helps the wines acidity. Fresh, bright, with a luxurious texture this wine drinks like and elegant, sophisticated Pinot Grigio.
What I love about the Cabernet Franc,
With and incredible bouquet that opens with, fresh plums, roasted red peppers, heirloom roses and finishes with an intensely refreshing gravelly character. The wine is kick ass, medium bodied, complex and fresh with a long delicious finish.
Either way you go, these two wines are sure to please and enlighten some on the none believers of Natural or Organic wines.
